In the beginning...

Mary Jeanne looked out of the office window at 124 E. 4th St. and said to Pam, "that empty building across the street would be a great place for a yarn store." Pam said, "Okay."

We opened in July of 2006 with less than 1/4 of our present inventory, no knowledge about how to run a yarn store, but a ton of enthusiasm. Nancy, Sue, and Amy started to work for us then; and they've been here ever since - helping our customers envision their next project and learn how to make wonderful things by hand!

In December 2009, Pam said, "Let's move our office to the store so we can have more time with all that beautiful yarn and those fun customers." Mary Jeanne said, "Okay."

Now we have a customer database of over 2,000 knitters from down the street, down state, down south, and even "down under". We ship packages all over the world every day; and we are planning another one of our ever-popular Finger Lakes Fiber Tours for Sept. 2010.
