2013 Finger Lakes Fiber Tour & Knitters Retreat
July 25-28

Our fiber tour is always a great time - filled with visiting farms and wineries, gatherings at the yarn shop including desserts and wine tasting, exploring other shops in town, and lots of knitting time. Many lodging options or commuter package available. Register early to get your preferred accomodation.

In addition to the popular dyeing workshop with Cheryl Schaefer in her Schaefer Yarn Studio, we will have Anne Hanson, KnitSpot pattern designer, with us throughout the tour. She'll be doing a lecture, a techniques class, a trunk show, and a project class (see sidebar to vote on your preferred proejct).

Knitting Bowls

These exquisite knitting bowls are made by a local woodworker Robert Tilden using found wood from the Finger Lakes region. Each bowl is carved out by hand, finished beautifully, and, comes with a write-up about the making of your bowl.

Our lease on Franklin St. location runs out in Sept., Pam has a new grandbaby in North Carolina, and Mary Jeanne is busy manufacturing yarn a four-hour drive away in Greenwich, NY. By this summer, we need to have a new owner for the store. And who better than one or more of our loyal customers? Want to learn more? Contact Mary Jeanne

A group of customers and employees has expressed interest in forming a new corporation and together buying out the shop; and making purchasing decisions and staffing, etc. as a cooperative. There have been several meetings among the folks interested in the cooperative. If you are interested in potentially becoming a shareholder, please call the shop and put your name on the list.
